There were multiple weird things about the interview process. I talked with the technical recruiter twice in which we had basically exactly the same conversation. The recruiting coordinator also scheduled me for two back to back calls with the technical recruiter even after the first call. This seemed like a mistake but when I pointed it out she said it was not, then we only had one. There was then one non-coding technical interview (a stats question, a machine learning question, a bioinformatics question). Then a coding technical interview which was an algorithms focused machine learning question. I found their process super disorganized and the questions pretty all over the place in terms of content. No one really seemed to know what the role was that I was being considered for.

Question 1
How do you optimize your data analysis in your research? (I asked for clarification on what "optimize" means in this context but didn't get any, so this is the question as is)
