The interview was fairly normal, zoom call that lasted about 45 minutes. The situational based questions were nothing out of the ordinary but what got me was the introduction. There was about a 15 minute explanation of the role and is actually a route sales associate not a representative which is a relief guy that fills in. Was told it could be up to two years before I get my own route. No set schedule, monthly overnight travel, 5 day work week but different days off every week outside of the weekend. Work every holiday except Christmas. Strangest thing here was when they explained the pay structure. The RSA is not hourly, not commission, and by federal regulations doesn’t seem to be salary. The way it was described was performance based on the “sales zone” which covers what seemed to be a 250+ air mile radius. Was told “if you work 50+ hours a week you will make a target of 60k”. I’d love to see the compensation structure for this role in detail beware unlike anything I’ve every heard of. I’ve read other comments about confusing pay structures for RSA and RSR sounds like the Frito made some adjustments. If you like to grind 50+ hours a week but are not sure exactly what you’ll make this job is for you.
