      Flight Attendant Interview

      Jul 19, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Denver, CO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Frontier Airlines (Denver, CO)

      Interview

I went to a Open House before Frontier was taken over by Republic Airlines, early 2000's. 600 showed up. 400 were called for a interview including me. And it was narrowed down even more. The final interview was a panel interview. I made it :-) next was the medical exam (by Frontier) and 10 yr background check including fingerprints. Don't waste your time if u have a criminal record of any kind. You have to be very committed. Training is extensive. Mine was 6 wks. Pretty much 6-7 days a week. I lived and breathed Frontier Airlines. I got up at 5am & went to sleep at 11pm. I studied every night for the daily test. You have to score 93% + you will have 4 tests on your first day in class. One is 1.5 pages memorized and tested verbally. If u don't pass these tests, then you are out of the program. All tests have to be passed. You cannot be late, not even 1 min. Or you will be dismissed on the spot. We lost 1/3 of my class of 30 in the first 2 wks of training. You will get fitted for your uniform about 2-3 wks into training. If you made it this far you will probably pass the rest of the classes. You pay out of your paycheck for the uniforms. Frontier pays you while training, unlike any other major airline. The employers are very nice and care about you. I turned down a offer from United Airlines due to a very bad interview experience in CHI. UA does not care about you, you are only a number. Not with Frontier. My experience with F-9 was very good. I quit for personal reasons. Now this was many years ago. I heard that it's not the same :-( but everyone has to find out for themselves. Jeff Potter was the CEO at that time, and he was great. I think Frontier has had 3 more CEO's since then. Be prepared to be on call the first year. And make sure you give yourself extra time to drive in the snow ❄️ and fill up your car with gas the night before, so you won't be late and your dream is over :-( if u have a 2nd language it will help. I'm sure it helped in my case since I'm from Europe. Good luck 🍀
