      Flight Attendant Interview

      Mar 12, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Frontier Airlines (Denver, CO) in Mar 2019

      Interview

I applied a few weeks back and then received a email for me schedule phone interview. The phone interveiw went very well and I was invited to a F2F in Denver. They fly you out but you are responsible to get your own hotel room. They send you a few options on where you can stay at a discounted price. I did not save much money ($124 a night). I should have went on a discount travel site. Especially if there if no gaurentee you are going to be hired. Save your money. They send you your flight itinerary along with documents that must be completed and ready for the day of your F2F ( keep in mind they only ask for these documents once offered the position). I arrived an hour early and waited along side fellow candidates. I had a few very nice conversations with others until showtime. Once 12:00pm arrived everyone lined up single file. You must have two forms of identifcation out and ready! Afer verifying, you are given a name tag with a labeled number. You go into a room with others to watch a short video about Frontier's culture and job description. After they call out by number to form a group of 10. You are then taken to another room and paired with another candidate for a F2F interview. They say its not a compeition but when you are being interview by the one conducting the interview makes very little eye contact and/or welcoming body language it can be a bit discouraging. She ask very simple questions to the fellow candidate and was smiling and almost having a private conversation as if I was not there. When given my questions she picked my answers apart. No eye contact as she just picked everything I said apart and wrote scribble down on her notes. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Remind you my interviewer was Flight Attendant instructor who was once a FA. From what I was getting she did not care for me the minute I shook her hand and introduced myself before I sat down to interview. After 15 minutes we are ask to leave the room. As I walk out the fellow candidate follows me and ask "What the heck is her problem with you?" She was not nice to you at all! I'm sorry you had to go through that. " I told her it was no biggie, she just doesnt favor me for whatever her reason is..and I know I was invited here for a reason. Next, I and the other candidate are told to wait by another door. The fellow candidate and a few others are also called in. I am told to follow another group to complete a jumpseat test and PA. At that moment I knew I was not going to be hired. See, there are two F2F interveiws and I only completed one. They do not tell you that. After I'm ask to go to the last room to do a PA and introduction the lady comes in and ask for me to bring my belongings. What makes matter even awful the two guys (I believe FAs) say best of luck to you in front of a group of candidates as if something wonderful is going to happen. I follow the lady. She stops mid way down the hall and says" At this point with are ended the interview process, your flight back remains the same. Best of luck to you". My flight was a redeye...Its crazy to think I bother to take the time out to fly to Denver for this type of treatment. I Iosted my father 2 1/2 weeks ago. It took a ton of strength to pick myself up and follow my dreams by attending this interview. I hope that they will re-train staff conducting interview to be more professional and courteous. I do understand that they have to hire the right person but I truly believe the person interviewing me was unfair.
