      Market Research Interview

      Mar 29, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Fuel Cycle in Feb 2020

      Interview

The first round is a phone interview. Pretty usual. But HR speaks too fast so find a place where the connection is great and you can hear her clearly. And that is an unpaid job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Basically asked your previous experience on resume, why you want to join them, what do you know about this company, what do you expect from this internship

      Interview

I had a phone interview and Rochelle was very friendly and easy to talk to. The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes and we got through a good amount of questions before cutting it. She really made me feel like she was listening and interested in what I had to say.

      Market Research Interview

      Sep 13, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Fuel Cycle (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2013

      Interview

Well, I thought I was interviewing for a market research position but apparently they wanted someone to manage community engagement...which quite frankly is well beneath my credentials and experience, and I would not have accepted an interview for such a job. Additionally, I made my salary expectations very clear before the in person interview and they tried to suggest half the salary. It was absurd. They want people with masters degrees and extensive experience for entry level salaries and positions, to be subordinate to persons with fluff degrees in "social media" who don't even know what SPSS is. They really need to understand how little their company can offer actually qualified professionals, and either scale up their offers or target persons coming out of associate degrees or maybe 4 year programs in fluff degrees. They should stop wasting the time of professionals when they make clear what their conditions are and the company is in no way able to come even close to such an offer.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What's SPSS?? Tip to management: don't call yourself a market research professional if you don't know what this is.
