The interviewer asked some basic theoretical machine learning and data science questions, details of projects I have done. After that briefly introduced what data scientist do for this position. Didn't get further response after interview.

Spoke to a recruiter, who seemed to be a third party hire. I was asked questions about my employment history and regarding my expertise in sql. I was moved on to an interview with the team, but this wasn't productive as it seems like the team is a software development team and is not familiar with data science or how it is applied in general, or how it will be applied at GE.
