I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at GE in Oct 2012

This was a Basic Behavioral Interview. The interview was very straight forward, and asked me to talk about a lot of my experiences. The interviewer was very nice and told me a lot about the company. He definitely got me very excited to work at GE Appliances. I heard back in about a week about my acceptance into the program.

Interview
I attended an engineering career fair at my school, where I signed a sheet that indicated my interest in working for the company. After that, they told me to apply online and I did. Once I did that, I scheduled an interview with the recruiter. The interview was a one on one interview in a small office with your usual, run of the mill engineering questions about teamwork and critical thinking. Nothing about the interview process was unusual or overwhelmingly difficult.
