      Communications Leader Interview

      Aug 10, 2015

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GE Vernova in Jul 2015

      Interview

I found the position on the GE website and applied for it. I also did some outreach on my own and found my way to the hiring manager. We had some email exchanges about the position. About a week and a half later, I called him to follow up, and he told me the position was no longer needed. Accordingly, the job soon showed as "cancelled" on the careers section of the GE website. I was originally motivated to visit the GE website and review openings because I'd received a fairly extensive survey about my experiences with applying and interviewing for positions with GE. I'd thought the company was making an effort to create a friendlier and more streamlined system, but after having gone through the process--only to learn the position wasn't needed after all--I'm left a bit frustrated.

      Question 1

Nothing really stood out in the questions. They were pretty standard.
