      Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee Interview

      Apr 30, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

There was a basic phone screening that took about 10min. The recruiter asked general questions about what you understand about the role and if you would have any issues meeting training requirements. Then a link to the assessment is sent. A couple days after that, a 2nd phone interview is scheduled. This phone interview was more in-depth using the STAR method & was about 30-45min asking about prior work experiences & your interests in the role. Afterwards, you agree to the MVR check. Then a 3rd interview is scheduled.. The 3rd interview is in-person. This is the infamous role playing interview. There are 2 managers there, & you go into your "office" then, listen to an audio (& you can read along because the packet they give is the audio written out), about what your job is, & basic guidelines. Highlight things you feel you'll need to know. This exercise is moreso to see if you have the ability to multitask & not only manage your time well, but also provide great customer service over the phone & face-to-face. Its pretty time consuming but definitely puts you in the role. This process took about 2hrs. After that, a 4th phone interview is scheduled with the area manager, STAR method questions & also trying to get a grasp of your understanding of the role. Afterwards, they send background check things you have to sign & email back & you submit your background check then wait for the drug test. I'm truly looking forward to starting my careee with Geico!

Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025

      Interview

applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

      Question 1

What do you know about the job? Why do you have a gap in your employment history? How many times have you been late to work in the past 5 years?

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Lincoln, NE) in Jul 2025

      Interview

I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Employment gap history… which I thought was illegal
