I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Woodbury, NY) in Nov 2014
Interview
It is very long and drawn out. There is a phone interview first. Then you come in for a computer testing for reading, writing, math, and spatial. Then they pull your driving history to make sure you are not an insurance risk. That takes about 3 days. Next you are set up for an interview with a supervisor. If you pass that, you go on to the role play, that is usually the same day. If it is late in the day, they tell you they will score your test and call you within 24 hours. I would say the role playing and supervisor test is the most stressful. The person who interviewed me didn't make eye contact once. He wasn't very friendly or pleasant. The role play was very long and I left feeling super beat up. I was shocked when I found out I passed. If you pass that, you meet with a manager or director. I think once you made to the final interview you already have the job but they need to make sure their paperwork is complete. The manager was actually selling me the job as opposed to me selling myself. From there you head back to HR for background, credit checks and drug testing (hair, ten panel)

Question 1
how many customers did you speak with in a typical day at your last job?
Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025
Interview
applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

Interview
I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
