Interview
There are many layers to their interview/hiring process which took about (from applying online to the final background check) 4 or 5 weeks. Starts with a basic phone screen, then a simple online test, then an in person interview, followed by everyone's favorite part THE ROLE PLAYING! To put it directly: yes it is overwhelming, yes it is complicated, yes it is ridiculous, and no you cannot avoid it. It is about two hours long and is really a test of your ability to quickly absorb large amounts of information as well as keep calm under pressure. Unfortunately details cannot be discussed but if there is any truly helpful advice I can give it would be this: JUST PUSH THROUGH AND BE CONFIDENT. I know it sounds cliche but understand that they recognize how absurd the role playing is and they are just looking to see your personality traits more than anything. People will feel overwhelmed with expectations and either break character or walk out (trust me they said it happens quite a lot). But if you just muscle through and show confidence in your actions and words, regardless if you are spewing some BS, they will see that you have the personality they seek and they know the knowledge will eventually be learned. If you last the whole role playing, they will ask you to meet with another manager. Here you will be asked pretty similar questions to the first in-person interview, and from there they will make their decision.
Also, be sure to study up on the STAR method for interviews but do not tell lengthy stories. Keep your responses precise with just enough detail.

Question 1
Tell me of a time when you dealt with a difficult customer?
Tell me of a time when you had to go above and beyond your duties for a customer?
Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025
Interview
applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

Interview
I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
