I submitted an application in October, and heard from them in January. I was told that the first round of interviews would be conducted over the phone with a recruiter. GLG was my first choice job, and after months of waiting to hear back, I was thrilled to have been offered a phone interview. The experience, however, was awful. The recruiter called 30 minutes late, offered no apologies for why she was late, sounded distracted the entire time, and was very abrupt. After I answered her first question ("what do you think GLG does?"), the recruiter said I was wrong and proceeded to regurgitate my answer on what GLG does, prefacing it with "well, this is what GLG does." She asked a second question-- "tell me about a time you took on too much and how you handled it"-- and upon hearing my answer, responded "Ok, thanks, I'll be in touch." It sounded like she wanted to be somewhere else from the get go, to be honest.
