To be honest, I don't know how I was shortlisted for this role, my resume barely if at all lines up with the job requirements. Granted, the recruiter seemed annoyed that I was one of the candidates he was handling and that I was seeking towards the higher end of the salary range. The hiring manager basically told me that she wasn't going to ask any of her questions because they were outside the scope of my experience. I know I wasn't an ideal candidate, but the whole experience felt unprofessional and easily could have been avoided if double checked the shortlist.
