I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GNC (Pearland, TX) in Jul 2014
Interview
they were looked for someone with prior sales experience of some sort, or at least experience working with a register. Also wanted an employee that was responsible, trustworthy and self-sufficient to run the store alone for hours at a time. Asked questions to make sure I was someone who could handle working on commission and hit sales goals. They asked if I could work 20+ hours a week. I came into the store with my resume and asked if they were hiring. They brought me in for an interview within a week. asked me to come in for a second interview to meet the regional manager and then hired me that very next week. training was a solid month-long before making commission. There is a lot to learn, but it is well worth it.
Easy interview since the person really needed someone to hold the cashier position. All I had to prove was that I could do math and if I was available during the week.
Lied to during interview about bonus, never received any compensation. Non existent don’t count on getting anything other than hourly
Hourly pay is very low, not worth the effort due to manager responsibilities
The interview process was pretty straightforward and simple. If I might add, was very standard as well. Know a little about products and supplements, health and fitness, and you will be golden
