I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at GNC (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2012
Interview
Initial communications were by manager, and she was very clear regarding details of the job, and asked if I was still interested in the position. Because I was a former employee returning to the company, she had taken a couple of days to square away my old information, and he had an in-store interview in about a week. Interview questions were straight-forward; basically detailed how the store was set up differently than when I was there, and if I could still do the basics the job required. I was eligible to be re-hired a couple of days after, and that's when I was re-hired.

Question 1
Just look up general interviewing tips for sales positions. Look professional and sharp. Speak candidly and maintain eye contact. Have a good presence; that's the best way to get your foot in the door. It helps if you're interested in the fitness business and either work out or personal train.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GNC (Ypsilanti, MI) in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview was brief, and focused on my interest in the nutritional supplements industry along with my knowledge of sales strategies. I was primarily asked about preferred working hours, availability, and comfort level with meeting certain sales numbers.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GNC (New York, NY)
Interview
I went to a GNC store. Upon arriving, only the store manager was there. She had to take customers so I waited until she was done. Then she asked me like five questions and told me I would hear back from someone the next day. I heard back the same day and started working the next day. She also mentioned how she had to fire her entire crew which was weird because I kind of got put off by it.
Had to make a lot of calls to score an interview, mainly because they were trying to see which store needed help most in the area, and they're pretty slack on getting back to you in general.
Interview was really laid-back, relaxed. They just like to see if you know anything about their products (specifically supplements) and how you are as a team worker and employee.
It's pretty much a hire on the spot if you interview, but not getting contacted back by them is a real issue, so watch out.
