I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GNC (San Marcos, CA) in Jan 2013
Interview
They sat me down like a normal interview and asked why I wanted to work at GNC. Did I know anything about supplements or training, what was my favorite part about selling supplements and do I currently take any. Then they gave me a second interview where I had to go around with a "customer" who was really the store manager and try to sell them what they needed based on what they were telling me they wanted to achieve
Easy interview since the person really needed someone to hold the cashier position. All I had to prove was that I could do math and if I was available during the week.
Lied to during interview about bonus, never received any compensation. Non existent don’t count on getting anything other than hourly
Hourly pay is very low, not worth the effort due to manager responsibilities
The interview process was pretty straightforward and simple. If I might add, was very standard as well. Know a little about products and supplements, health and fitness, and you will be golden
