My profile was initially shortlisted for the Data Ops Engineer II role at GSK. I first had a screening call with the recruiter, followed by an online assessment. After successfully completing the assessment, I proceeded to multiple technical interview rounds where I discussed my experience in cloud platforms, data engineering, and DevOps practices. Finally, I had a detailed conversation with the hiring manager that covered both technical depth and team fit. Although I was not selected in the end, the process was highly valuable and a great learning experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GSK in Apr 2023
Interview
I had two stages. First was a timed Hackerrank test. This included tasks using Docker, Git, SQL and algorithms. Not too difficult if you worked with those before. The second stage was with the hiring manager. Talking about general experience and templated questions. Communication was not great. At the start I received an automated rejection email before being told it was a mistake.
