      Business and Technology Consulting Interview

      Feb 1, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (London, England)

      Interview

      1. Online Applications with 2 questions about why GSK and why this programme 2. Invitation for Online numerical and logic tests (very straightforward) 3. Invitation for video interview (not live) - i.e. they have pre-recorded questions, which you have to answer in one session (I felt I had done quite badly at this, but still managed to get an assessment centre invitation) 4. Invitation to GSK Assessment Centre - 2 days (1st day - general visit GSK, dinner with current employees, hotel stay covered by GSK; 2nd day - full day assessment) Very supportive throughout, and good feedback afterwards. No offer unfortunately. Feedback - in group discussions not taking a leadership role (personally, I am not forceful and there were a few candidates in the group who went for it and were in my view a little too aggressive, but it looks like this is what GSK is looking for). I suppose our definition of leadership differs. My impression is that for GSK talking nonsense but still talking is seen as better than listening to others and only adding valuable comments. So I would advise candidates that it probably doesn't matter what you say as long as you are talking! Also try and get involved with time-keeping or taking notes etc. It is a great company to get a job at as it appeared from research and my visit to their HQ that they really do value their people.
