I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GSK in Oct 2019
Interview
I was selected first for a phone screen, confirming my availability and salary range, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager asked questions to assess my bench skills and to answer any of my questions about the role.
Unfortunately for me, I was informed that the role was closed with no hire. I learned from a contact that the hiring manager was pressured by management to repost the position as an Associate Scientist at a much lower salary range.
This is the second time in 2019 that something like this has happened to me. This organization appears to be in a cost savings mode. If you are an experienced candidate looking at GSK around the time of this writing, be wary. I also would not be looking to GSK for top level salaries with this type of behavior.
