Very easy asks you a lot of basic questions just be nerdy, knowledgeable, and know how tech works. They usually just call you in for either a one on one interview or a job interview usually just depends on the managers preference.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GameStop (Norcross, GA)

      Interview

This was possibly one of the worse interview experiences I've ever had. I applied to a position called "Retail Staff" which was vague, but I assumed they wanted someone to run the register and maybe stock the shelves. I was scheduled for a phone interview with the potential of a second interview. The first 5 minutes of the interview was pretty normal and standard until he wanted me to roleplay selling my phone to him in some kind of sales pitch. When I failed to do it the way he expected, he proceeded to lecture me for 20 minutes about how I should know every single thing about my phone and shouldn't have problem selling it to someone, as well as what it takes to run a successful business. His tone was incredibly condescending. He claimed that selling someone a phone is no different than selling video games. I, in fact, do NOT know everything about my phone because it's a fairly new phone and I'm not too concerned about the specifications of it. Additionally, I know more about the specifics of video games than smartphones. He then went on to discuss their Pro Membership which he used as an opportunity to not only interrogate me about why I didn't have one but to also convince me to get one in the future. It wasn't until the last 5 minutes of the call that it was revealed that he was the district manager and the position was for a Keyholder. Had I'd known it was for a Keyholder position, I wouldn't have even applied. Also, throughout the entirety of the interview, there was distracting noises in the background which made it hard to hear him. I assumed it to be noises from the store, but he was actually driving the entire time. This was proven by the multiple interruptions by his GPS giving directions. Toward the end, I felt humiliated and frustrated as I felt the interviewer did not respect me nor our scheduled time enough to conduct this interview professionally in a quiet place and asking valid and relevant questions and allowing time to discuss my skills and experience. Instead, I was required to roleplay, was lectured like a child, interrogated about not having a "Pro Account", and barely allowed to get a word in.
