I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GardaWorld (New York, NY) in Aug 2014
Interview
Short interview off-site. Questions were mainly around process and managing labor and SG&A. Nothing difficult or our of the ordinary for the role. Most of the direct reports are organic promotions without general management experience so it was explained that trying to implement change would be a slow process but I would be expected to overcome that obstacle and deliver results asap.
Interviews were held on-line using Teams. After interviewing with the National VP (the role reported into), was notified 2 weeks later that I was "one of 3 candidates that they wish to move forwards with", Did not hear back from them for 6 weeks so followed up and was notified that "unfortunately they went forward with a candidate". Incredibly unprofessional and would not recommend interviewing with this company. Presented a negative employer brand and was a negative candidate experience.
