Contacted by someone I would consider an initial screener. He was polite and very organized with what to expect during our call as well as next steps. Followed through exactly as laid out. The next step was talking to a recruiter. This is where my experience wasn't as great. Was asking a lot of questions but didn't really seem to be listening. Very aggressive about 'proving' my current compensation. Also noted I would be moving to the next stage in the process, told me from who and when I could expect the follow up and then nothing. I followed up once the agreed upon date passed and was then told oh we really didn't have an opening in my area. Unprofessional in my opinion...if you're just gathering resumes for future opps, be upfront about that.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you develop relationships with executive contacts?
They have reached out to me for a job every year and I have interviewed with them 2 times and have never made it past the 1st interview. Confused why a recruiter reaches out to me anymore?
It was long and rigorous, often feeling extremely high pressure, with not a lot of constructive criticism. There are 5 rounds and each with a role-play. It's safe to say this is not an easy interview process. I'm not sure how they do their prospecting, but I was apparently a 'great fit' for the role - didn't show that enthusiasm during our calls.
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
