I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2017
Interview
Entire process was a few weeks and was 4 steps, initial phone screen with recruiter, phone screen with hiring manager, skype interview with hiring manager and vp and then a mock sales presentation to panel consisting of recruiter, hiring manager and vp, which was in Greenwich Connecticut. The process was pretty efficient but I give this a negative review due to the following, once final interviews were completed they took over 2 weeks to make a final decision saying they had multiple candidates they liked and were exploring ways to hire more than one when it was pretty clear that a multi-hire decision would never work. Additionally the job posting called for 6-10 years experience and I ultimately lost out to someone with close to 20 years, which I would have been ok with had they not told me early in the process that they specifically did not want someone with too much experience as they had someone like that not work out in the role previously. Also, one piece of negative feedback I got in my panel interview was directly due to advice I took from the recruiter.
They have reached out to me for a job every year and I have interviewed with them 2 times and have never made it past the 1st interview. Confused why a recruiter reaches out to me anymore?
It was long and rigorous, often feeling extremely high pressure, with not a lot of constructive criticism. There are 5 rounds and each with a role-play. It's safe to say this is not an easy interview process. I'm not sure how they do their prospecting, but I was apparently a 'great fit' for the role - didn't show that enthusiasm during our calls.
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
