I was really excited about interviewing with Gartner, however the phone screening left me really puzzled. The HR rep sounded like she was doing me a personal favor just being there. She would ask same thing 2-3 times, apparently not listening closely as I could hear her typing her notes non-stop as I was talking. Would skip from one company on my resume to another without specifying which one she was referring to. When I was asked about why I wanted to work for Gartner and I said I was looking for a balance of an established industry leader and a growing, start up mentality, she reverted this back to me as "So sounds like you just want to work for a big brand?". Really? At some point I had a question on difference between 2 types of Sales role because I wasn't able to tell much difference per Job description on LinkedIn and wasn't sure if I might be a better fit for the other one. The HR rep couldn't help tell the difference in responsibilities or expectations beyond "They are almost the same I would say. They can be considered lateral roles, same level roles". But at the very end of the interview she said she still didn't hear from me a clear answer on why I applied for one role over the other.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2026
Interview
Had a great first round interview, the interviewer was thorough, kind, charismatic, and transparent in educating me on Gartner's core values and the role, went in depth about the responsibilities and requirements of the role

I applied online. I interviewed at Gartner (Istanbul)
Interview
It was very professional and clear. A little bit longer then expected. HR is quite professional and dedicated to find best candidates step by step.. there are 4 different sessions and every session is challenging.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Mar 2026
Interview
I was contacted by a Gartner GBS recruiter via LinkedIn. We scheduled a screening call where the role was mainly pitched to me and I was asked basic questions about my current responsibilities in relation to the job description.
I was told I would move to the next stage, but I never received the calendar invite by email. When I joined the meeting, I was informed the interview could not take place because I had not accepted the invite. After checking, we discovered the invite had been sent to the wrong email address.
We rescheduled. Before the next interview, I received a document with detailed instructions on how to answer (STAR format). The recruiter also emphasized how important feedback is, in both directions. I did not progress after the second interview. I requested feedback to understand the gaps, but the recruiter never responded.
Summary: Clear role overview, but basic coordination errors and a lack of follow-up feedback despite stating it was a priority.
