I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner in Dec 2024
Interview
Was in the STAR format. The interview started well I thought but immediately turned downhill, the HR interviewer could barely be heard, was doing things around the house asking questions. I thought it would be nice as she introduced herself being apart of a black mentor program, and me being black as well. We get through the interview painstakingly with no personality on her side and I ask for feedback. She tells me as the first concern she doesn't think my language, my accent, and filter words would be the concern talking to clients, but my resume and experience are more than enough. It was obvious at that point they do not actually want diversity, and want a certain type of robot worker, or she is a gatekeeper for certain diversity coming into the company.

Interview
The recruiter was rude and unprofessional. She was condescending at times and would act like she did not want to answer any questions that I had. When I asked a question that she could not answer, she would turn it into thinking I am stupid and did not do my research. I was actually angered by how she acted towards me and almost sent an email saying that I no longer want to considered for this role due to how unprofessional she was.
