- I interviewed with 4 different people in 1:1 sessions and 1 with a group panel (an additional HR round too, but that was more of a formality). None of them knew anything related to Mechanical Engineering - CTO was unprofessionally late to the 1:1 interview and never cared to apologize or explain. No respect for other's time - CEO told me that he didn't follow mandatory covid quarantine rules whenever he traveled between US and Canada for work (He was actually proud of it). - CEO rescheduled the interview at the last minute when I had already taken out time from my schedule. No respect for my time - I was asked to explain my work projects completed thus far, and there were no technical cross-questions on anything. Group panel had no technical depth in mechanical - Everyone in 1:1 interviews kept repeating the same info about the company over and over again (even when I told them I knew what they were going to say). Such a waste of time - I was asked to lead the mechanical engineering department, build a team from the ground up, set up a mechanical workshop from scratch in Toronto, and takeover all future product builds across both offices and at customer sites because there were no other mechanical engineers in the company, but they offered me Senior Engineer position, not Lead Engineer (and a much lower salary)
