There were eight one on one interviews through out the day plus a lunch with less important decision makers. it is really important that you prepare for your talk and present it flawlessly, as genentech makes a big deal from the talk. it shows your communication skills.

Interview process was not bad, I met with manager of team to talk about interest in work and they asked me questions about research and science, but overall solid. Everyone on the team was very nice and welcoming.
It was two rounds of interviews. One phone one on site. On-site interview is a full day interview, which needs to provide an one hour seminar talk. Phone interview only took 1 hour.
