I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at General Atomics (Poway, CA) in Jun 2010
Interview
This was an invitational interview that took almost 4 hours to complete. It started with a chat with an HR rep to determine if you were a fit for the position. Then I spoke with an engineer that asked some more questions related to the job, once again to determine whether I should move on. After that, I moved on the "technical questions" guy that asked questions related to schematics and general electronics theory. Once that was over, the interview concluded with a 1 on 1 with the hiring manager.
Got interviewed by a panel. Overall it was a great experience. On the panel there were a few engineers, some managers and some writers. It would have been a great fit, but unfortunately it was a contract position with the opportunity to get hired on, and I wasn't ready to leave my job for a maybe.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at General Atomics (Poway, CA) in May 2022
Interview
Lots of people in the interview room which was intimidating but they were kind and receptive. Definitely be prepared to present a project that you've created. That part isn't too hard, they are just making sure you have the ability to present.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at General Atomics
Interview
Intensive, spoke with 3-4 different people, all pleasant. They were on a hiring freeze so they put the position on hold for a few months and then contacted me for a 2nd interview.
