I recently went through the interview process for the Email Marketing Specialist position at Journeys. The process began smoothly but became frustrating towards the end. After applying, I had a phone interview with a corporate recruiter, which went well, and I was excited about the opportunity. The recruiter mentioned that a second interview with the hiring manager would be scheduled soon, and I was told to expect some additional information by the end of the day. However, I didn’t receive the follow-up as promised, so I reached out the next day. The recruiter responded on the morning of the scheduled interview day, explaining that the hiring manager had been busier than expected, and they were still working on getting it scheduled. Unfortunately, communication remained inconsistent, and the process felt disorganized. After a week of waiting and following up, I was informed that they decided to move forward with another candidate who was referred to them.
