      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at George P. Johnson (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2023

      Interview

The process with people ops was pretty slow and have heard from others that that's common. Usually took 5-10 business days to hear back from HR. Once I started interviewing with the team I'd be working with, it picked up quite a bit and scheduling was a breeze, had a new interview every other day and the team members were all super smart and had great questions and great answers to mine. The final round consisted of a case study where they give you an assignment and 48 hours later you present it as you would present to a client. That went very well, but once it was back in HR's hands it was another 8 or 9 business days before I was told that an offer was coming and asked to put off accepting another offer for now if I could, followed by about a week of silence before the written offer came back. When I submitted my counter offer it was a few days before I heard back and we agreed on an offer together. Being on the other side of it now as a part of the company, I know the drawn out process is pretty standard. here and shouldn't be read too much in to. Once I joined the team at GPJ I was on the other side of it and helped interview people for several positions, and our top choice candidate for each role either reached out during or told me later that they had not heard anything for close to two weeks either, and I know no other offers went out to anyone else during that time and no interviews with other candidates had been scheduled during that time, so the HR and Legal process is just a slow one. Having a counter offer on the table does not seem to speed things up. Also just a heads up they do a full panel drug test before your first day. This is the first and last drug test you should expect at this company.

      Question 3
