      Engineer Interview

      Oct 28, 2011
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Georgia-Pacific in Jul 2011

      Interview

Phone Interview to screen candidates. Then an onsite day long behavioral interview with several one on one interviews with different managers and potential coworkers. It was a good way to get to know the company at the same time they got to know me. They were very professional and easy to get along with although each location and plant will be different. My suggestion is to have all the questions that you want to know about ahead of time.

      Application

I interviewed at Georgia-Pacific (Fort Smith, AR)

      Interview

Interviewed with recruiter with 2 weeks after online submit. Went very well and was pushed to do a video call with the hiring manager but took a couple of weeks with horrible communication on their part. Interview also went well, and was asked to do an in person interview and tour. Once again to over a month to get ahold of them to reconnect. Went in for tour and interview with 3 sections and I felt it went very well, they were very receptive and provided great feedback. The hiring manager said I would be hearing from them and no communication now for 2 months. I have reached out to the recruiter and to the hiring manager both. Im a professional and of course I moved on, but the demeanor of the higher process managers was horrible.
