Long interview process. Interview with HR, Skills test, then 2 interview with Programme lead. Prepare for long process about 6 weeks and communication break down/ Lack of it or some level of ghosting.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GiveDirectly (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process was very transparent. I made it all the way to the final round and at each stage I was met with realistic expectations about turn around times. I was definitely bummed to not get an offer, but they seem to really have a sound process. The take home exercise was reasonable and had little ambiguity, which I appreciated considering many companies have you do free labor.
Overall would interview with them again and would accept an offer if it were given.

Be prepared to ask how you can relate to the population you would be serving. A response about how it's personal to you is probably the good way to go.
First round was a short answer questionnaire about why I was interested and a difficult project I previously managed, second round was an interview, and third round was a timed excel assignment
