I was contacted by a recruiter, who asked me to schedule an interview for the position. I booked it a week out from the date I was contacted, and took time off of work to attend. The day of the interview, the recruiter cancelled the interview and said that our salary expectations did not match, even though I told her my expectations from the beginning and also mentioned that I was willing to negotiate. I asked her to keep the interview appointment, insisting that I was still interested and willing to work with their budget for the position. The recruiter then told me that they had an offer out for the job and that she would not be re-scheduling. Long story short, the experience was very unprofessional and was deeply disappointed.
