Got a call from the recruiter at Goldman Sachs who shared the JD and asked to apply. After app lying, two rounds were scheduled on the next week. It was a virtual interview. Both were based upon past experience, education and the role applied for in Goldman Sachs.
7+ rounds - with 2 different people in each round, motivational / competency questions + some market related and technical questions. varies by role but you need to really understand "Why GS"

A few rounds of short list and then interviews based on resume skills and past experience with problem solving ability to test candidates which seem good and the process tests candidates to the fullest
