The process started with an online application and CV screening, followed shortly after by an invitation to a HireVue digital video interview. The HireVue stage consisted of 5 pre-recorded questions with 30 seconds to prepare and 2 minutes to record each answer. After passing the video assessment, I was invited to the next round, which consisted of two back-to-back technical and behavioral interviews (45 minutes each) via Zoom with VPs and Associates from the London office. The atmosphere was professional but demanding, focusing heavily on problem-solving logic and alignment with corporate values.

Behavioral: Why Goldman Sachs, and why did you choose the London office specifically for this internship?
BehaviorA/Project: Walk me through the most challenging technical project on your resume. What obstacles did you face, and how did you overcome them?
Situational: Imagine you are working on a critical task for a client and you realize a requested action might violate firm policy. What is your thought process, and how do you handle it?
Technical/Logic: Can you explain how you would optimize a rule-based system or algorithm to process real-time data efficiently under constraint? (Follow-up on time/space complexity).
Market/Commercial Awareness: What is a major technology or economic trend currently affecting the financial sector that you closely follow?
first stage was hirevue, where they mostly just ask behavioural questions for example, "why did you apply to this role", "tell me about a time...", very standard questions that you get in a hirevue
Applied online through the Goldman Sachs careers portal and completed a HireVue with behavioral and motivational questions. After passing the HireVue I was invited to a virtual Super Day that covered both the Wealth Strategist Group and the National Tax Group within Ayco. The Super Day consisted of back-to-back conversations with bankers across both groups, focused mostly on fit, motivation, and why Ayco specifically. The process moved quickly from HireVue to Super Day to offer, and I received the offer shortly after the Super Day concluded.
