This role was for Marcus by Goldman App. It took over 10 WEEKS! The recruiter was incredibly unhelpful and vague about the entire process. The timeline of the interview went like this: 1. Recruiter reached out and scheduled a 30 min call 2. Had a 45 min conversation with the Hiring Manager two weeks after ( all easy behavioral questions) 3. Had a 30 min call with each of the other members of the team over a weeks period ( total of 1.5 hours - all easy behavioral questions) 4. 2.5 Weeks after I completed these calls - they asked me to complete an extensive case study that dealt more with UX Design than actual product management. Clearly they are confused about a product managers role here. 5. A week later I had an hour presentation with the entire team that seemed completely disinterested from the very start. They barely asked me any questions about my presentation that I spent a lot of time completing for them. 6. A few days later I asked for my results because I thought it was my final round - but instead they told me they had NO IDEA if this was the final round and said I would most likely have another round with senior leadership. When I asked what is the timeline of their decision they also said THEY HAVE NO IDEA. I passed up an offer at another firm because they kept assuring me they really liked me a lot and would tell me asap. Also, they mentioned I would most likely have another round and to hang in there. 7. Finally, they reached out 2.5 weeks after the "final" / maybe "final" round and said that because they were taking so long to hire someone they LOST THEIR HEADCOUNT. When I asked for more feedback, since they made me wait 10 weeks and spend extensive amount of time on a presentation - they completely ghosted. Overall - the way that they treat people during the interview process is not acceptable and probably shows insight into how they treat their employees in general. They have a lack of general respect for people's time. I would not even recommend applying here because everyone I know at Marcus hates it and left as soon as they could after began.
