The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs
Interview
Very less clarity on how one performed after each interview round. Took them two months to respond to first interview feedback and another 2.5 to reply after second round. Didn’t reply to me about any progress despite asking for feedback at different intervals. I would say it’s very unprofessional and unorganised. It just explains how the work in itself could be similarly unorganised causing stress without much clarity on next steps. The first interview was more of Know more about oneself, Behavioural and the second interview was a bit more on Why this specific role and how it aligns with my past experience and any follow up questions they had from the previous round. (Both taken by team leaders). The difficulty level was not very high but you have to be very clear and confident on your answers and any follow up questions they have. There was no proper feedback provided after knowing the outcome. So I’m a bit disappointed that the candidate invests their time and energy to prep but what they get in return is delays / silence in replies and no feedbacks.

Superday with 3 members of the team. Some more technical than others. Asked general market questions and checked my understanding of different asset classes. Behaviorals were straight forward and what is typically seen across the street
Elaborative, long, very situation-based and case-based. Ask random questions to test your mental ability and presence of mind. However, they were very kind and patient with your answers. Always write a thank-you email.

Very technical interview that asked about equity valuations, how to calculate discounted cash flows, weighted average cost of capital, enterprise value, and what is happening in the financial markets. It was a great experience overall.
