Initial phone interview followed by Zoom interview with team lead. Recruiter facilitated the process along the way. Hiring manager interview was surprisingly impersonal and made it difficult to establish a report. At the same time, it went on for over an hour, which seemed encouraging.
Then, abruptly the next morning I received an email that they wouldn't be moving forward. I ended up feeling misled. At what point did HM know he wouldn't be hiring me? Why was he going so into depth to answer specifics of day-to-day operations?
