I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Goodwill (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2025
Interview
The process felt rushed and not very thoughtful. The interviewer didn’t really seem interested in getting to know me as a candidate , it was more like they were checking boxes off a list. Some of the questions came across condescending, like they were doubting my answers rather than engaging with them. Instead of it feeling like a conversation, it felt one-sided and a little dismissive, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. even the second interviewer felt uncomfortable!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They kind of pushed me on the whole “working with people from different backgrounds” thing. First, they asked if I had ever worked with people from other countries, so I shared my experience as an international student working with classmates who spoke different languages. Then, instead of moving on, they pressed me for “other examples” , almost like my answer wasn’t good enough.
In person quick and friendly. Application submitted and call back was quick. Asked about history and qualifications hired quick. The job was amazing and they are easy to work for
asked my about my previous job experience, my characteristics, why i wanted the job, which shifts i was available for, etc. very basic interview questions, i didn’t prepare at all and still did fine!
Interview was short and to the point. Ask for previous experiences and how do I solve unexpected problems. The manager was nice. Told me I will hear back. Didn't get the job
