Recruiter screen --> Completed 2 time-consuming writing exercises --> asked to complete 3rd even more time-consuming writing exercise --> Onsite interview --> Moved on to hiring committee --> rejection with no feedback The writing exercises and long application time make it not worth it, especially since there was no feedback at any stage of the process. For the time I spent on the writing exercises and the expertise required, I could have earned several hundred dollars' worth of freelance income. Won't bother to apply again unless I'm desperate or they pay me for the time spent on the exercises. To add insult to injury, after the recruiter explicitly said there's no feedback, Google spammed my email asking me for feedback on the process. Interview was also alienating because the only people I saw on campus who were not white or Asian were kitchen staff or the admins who escort you from location to location. It's a little obnoxious how the entire office is in a bubble relative to the surrounding neighborhood.
