I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Google (Ann Arbor, MI) in Jan 2021
Interview
The interview process was lengthy and filled with ambiguity. I applied in November 2020. I heard back from a recruiter in January of 2021. I was offered a job in March 2021. I just started mid-April 2021. The information they give you to interview is the most useful resource to prepare. I also found Jeff Sipe (a former google recruiter) on YouTube and he was super helpful. The interviewers are great people, but the questions are very vague and the process is intentionally cold. They want to see how you can handle uncertainty.
the process is very fast. i got 4 rounds of interview within 2 weeks, and got the feedback right after each round of interviews. sometimes its depends on the chemistry between you and the interviewer.
The process is really complicated, questions are really detailed. Need to prepare. Wishing you all huge success! I had 3 rounds and a prep call. Recruiters are really easy going and responsive.
Disorganized recruiting with random meeting invites with no explanations. Interviewer wasn’t welcoming at all and seemed to not care at all about the interview. The feedback call after the interview sounded like recruiter was reading an AI generating summary of the interview, which felt not personal at all. Overall awful experience.
