Disclaimer - this review is less about the interviews themselves and more around how the interview process was handled. I was approached by an internal recruiter and had a meeting with them, I enjoyed that chat and having heard of the company prior, I opted to pursue the opportunity. I had a great interview with the hiring manager and a couple of other folks on their team and overall it was a good experience (granted one of the interviews wasn't really an interview at all, barely asked one question). After my final interview however, I heard zilch... crickets... for nearly two weeks. I was completely ghosted which was unusual considering there seemed to be an urgent need for hire based on conversations I had with the team. Hell I would have been satisfied with a rejection even if that's what it had come down to, but I got nothing. I ended up being proactive and reached out to the recruiter to find out what happened and couldn't even get a straight answer. I was told position was put on hold and they were no longer recruiting for it which would have been nice to know early on in the process if there wasn't clarity around how that team would be structured as they're positioning for growth. I felt like my time was wasted and was actually pretty displeased with their narrative/language used. The cherry on top was a few weeks later I had an external recruiter reach out to me for... you guessed it, that very same position. So either the external recruiter was delusional and disconnected with what the company was looking for, or the internal recruiter was dishonest around the decision the team reached regarding the position or just couldn't send a proper rejection if that was the case. Needless to say this left a super sour taste in my mouth and I was actually quite disappointed how the process was handled in the end. While it would have been nice to work with their team, it honestly feels like I dodged a bullet based on this experience alone.
