First off, I'm a veteran who is very familiar with ecommerce, tactical gear, and the military community. Not sure how many Vets they hire, but I'm positive the number is low. The first time I interviewed I waited 2 months for them to tell me no. Second time I waiting one month for them to tell me no, and that was after 4 interviews with them. Not sure what they are looking for but it doesn't seem to be a vet. All I can say is thankfully I had a savings account to rely on and offers from other companies that have no problems hiring veterans. I gave them a neutral review because at the end of the day they still claim to give back to the military and first responder communities.
Advice for veterans applying- don't put all your coins in one basket even if you seem to be a perfect fit.
Advice for the Company- When interviewing, never assume the capabilities of a veteran or first responder if you don't know their history, and never under estimate them.
"Fake it till we make it" - also try to avoid phrases like this during an interview.
