I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Greystar (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2015
Interview
The process was a little too laid back, but in this business it's really 'who you know'. I suppose when you know someone (or have just met someone) within the business, you are added to their 'schedule of things to do'. In other words, I was offered an interview, but the date bounced around a couple times before it came to fruition.
The interview itself was lax. I didn't feel nervous or uncomfortable, though that could have been due to being employed, at the time, by a competing management company. It was about 20 minutes of questions in front of the whole staff followed by myself having to lead/present a mock tour.

Question 1
What do you feel you'd bring to the table as a Leasing Professional?
Had an interview with the property manager, then regional manager, then the builders boardroom style interview. Same questions asked through all three. As long as you have high energy with an eagerness to learn, you will be fine. Job is fairly easy.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Greystar
Interview
Set up interview with property manager, Followed up for a couple of days, before interview was conducted they reached out stating they are moving with an internal transfer. It felt like they listed the posting just to be fair knowing they had filled the position already.
The process was one, on-sight, in-person session with multiple managers and/or senior associates in the company. It was well-facilitated and very encouraging. The job listings are often on LinkedIn or Indeed, and responses are very common. Communication was a major thing.
