Initial message from recruiter, then a call with recruiter, call with senior recruiter, then panel interview. Overall process took about 2 weeks. Was able to speak to the entire team and several supervisors before concluding the interview process

Question 1
Why do you want to work here vs your current position
I applied online. I interviewed at Guardant Health (Redwood City, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
I applied for this position at the end of 2025, and the hiring process ultimately extended over two months. While HR was professional and responsive throughout, the overall interview process felt unnecessarily lengthy and inefficient.
The process began with a Teams interview that included an extensive number of questions, many of which focused on outdated or irrelevant technologies. I was then invited onsite for a five-person panel interview. Several panel members held similar titles, and it was unclear how their roles differed within the evaluation process. Additionally, some interviewers appeared unprepared and seemed to review my resume only upon entering the room.
I also had the opportunity to discuss their IT infrastructure and observed several areas that raised potential compliance and security concerns.
I felt confident in my performance and brought a strong work history with reputable companies, along with excellent references.
I also felt, at times, that my experience was not given the level of respect it deserved, and that I was spoken to in a way that felt dismissive despite my extensive background in the field.
The job opening is still posted to this day, and I am pretty sure I was turned down because I was a female.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Guardant Health (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Pretty straight forward. Met with one of the founders. That was the most challenging part of the interview. I was phone screened and then came in for 1 round of interviews. They followed up quickly with an offer.
