I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Guidehouse (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2022
Interview
After receiving a "thumbs up" positive interview from both the recruiter and the first consultant phone interview, I was moved to three scheduled virtual interviews with consultants, director, and partner. All this in the course of ten days so good progress. Interviewers did not really seem too prepared or interested in specific questions about my experience, but they did describe the position requirements well. After the last interview, the partner said it make take several days to hear and to contact recruiter if i had any further questions. After one week, I reached back out to the recruiter. Ghosted. After two weeks and not even an email reply, I found it a bit insulting. In reading through the reviews, I am in good company. Come on, Guidehouse. Get your act together! Very unprofessional to take a strong candidate through the entire process and not give them the courtesy of a final decision. Most companies respect and respond to others much better. A very poor business/recruiting practice from a company that is struggling and understaffed.
1 recruiter round and 3 rounds of actual interview. final round was with a partner. accepted the offer but still waiting on a public trust clearance over a month later. little to no communication from the recruiter about where i am at in the clearance process.
Painless. Comparable to other consulting firms. Includes cases, behavioral, and conversion with different level. Final interview in person sometimes depending on the office and position. The interview process was pretty quick in length. 3-4 rounds of interviews can be expected
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Guidehouse (Virginia Beach, VA) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was a seamless and well-organized experience, creating a sense of confidence and clarity from the very beginning. Each stage flowed naturally into the next, with prompt communication and clear expectations at every step. Unlike experiences I have had with other companies, where I was often left waiting without updates or uncertain about the next steps, this process was thoughtfully structured and considerate of my time. From the initial application to the final round of interviews, I always knew where I stood and felt respected as a candidate.
