It was a straightforward interview. Interviewer asked situational questions. I am confident I answered them all well. She then mentioned that they can't afford the salary I was asking. I negotiated with them and settled for a number. She said the Director or the administrator will contact me after. No one called or emailed. I would not mind receiving a rejection email if they did not see me best fit the position but after more than a month, I think I just wasted my time waiting. Boils down to plain courtesy and respect for one's time.

Phone interview: about 45 minutes, asked generally easy questions. Was asked to fill out a written interview. Written interview: several pages, asking questions about hypotheticals, ex: what if a child knows the name of the letter but not its sound. Took about an hour. Final phone interview: a place to ask additional questions, there was more info given about the specific school hiring, and some continued conversations about Montessori.
