Talked to the recruiter then had a 45 min portfolio review with design leadership. The interview took place on a Friday, on Monday morning I received a generic email stating, "Unfortunately, we won't be moving forward with your candidacy at this time as we just filled the position." it was an odd way to say not a good fit. Maybe it was already filled, and they didn't have the heart to cancel the interview. I reached out and asked for feedback as I continue my search. I received no response.
