The interview process with Gusto began with a thorough screening call with a recruiter, who adeptly navigated through my experiences. Following this, I engaged in a Zoom call with the hiring manager, presenting my portfolio and delving deeper into the role's specifics and company culture. A subsequent meeting with a designer allowed me to explore the creative dynamics within the team. I confidently presented my portfolio again, showcasing my skills and vision. However, just as I anticipated further progress, news broke of the hiring manager's departure, leaving uncertainty. I proceeded with scheduled meetings with two more designers. The meeting concluded abruptly and rudely, leaving a sour taste. Disappointingly, despite investing time and effort, an offer failed to materialize, leaving me without closure or constructive feedback on my candidacy.

Overall the process was organized, professional and transparent but I didn’t get an offer and hey didn’t provide any helpful feedback other than “we went with other candidates”

What was a project where you advocated for design process
The interview got off to a rough start when the interviewer arrived 10 minutes late, which didn’t set a professional tone. When I asked about the product, the responses felt quite surface-level, possibly due to recent organizational changes. Throughout the conversation, the engagement level seemed low, making it difficult to have a meaningful discussion.
