Phone interview with HR was pleasant, albeit vague. At the conclusion of the screening call, a call with the hiring manager was scheduled and booked. The date/time came and went, with no word or email asking to reschedule. After emailing the HR contact who set it up, it was rescheduled. The phone conversation with the hiring manager was also pleasant, though vague. I got the sense that he wasn't really sure what he was looking for, as he wasn't able to answer specific questions about the goals and responsibilities of the position. Hoping that I would get better information in-person, I agreed to a full-day corporate office series of interviews with various department heads including the hiring manager. While everyone was nice, again the information was vague and seemed disjointed. 3 of 7 interviewees didn't bother to show up. During the interview with the hiring manager, I bluntly asked if he was confident in his vision for the role, and he replied with "I'm not sure yet." No, thanks. Complete waste of time. Run, don't walk away from this company (or at least this division of the company).
